Rachel Roy's Fall 2014 collection was one of my favorites this runway season. Modern, sophisticated, trendy and edgy are all words that appropriately describe this collection.

Rachel's fabrication was nothing short of sublime. It was all about juxtaposition here, her use of mixed fabrics, color and contrasting textures elevated classic tailored pieces - like pencil skirts, blouses and jackets - into fashion forward, enchanting pieces.

What was even more striking about many of the designs, was the illusory layering techniques used. Many pieces that seemed like layered separates were actually single dresses. Look 3 and 5 employed that technique beautifully.

Overall this collection was a successful entrance into Rachel Roy's 10 year anniversary. A collection that possesses everything a modern, fashion savvy woman would want in her wardrobe. I sure do.
